dammitjim
I took a chance and bought this on ebay, does it look like the correct one for an 05? If not I'll probably just cough up for a new one at the dealer. http://i18.ebayimg.com/05/i/07/b8/90/21_1.JPG
yamie700
That looks like the factory one I put on my wagon a while back. I don't think there is a difference between the sedan and wagon but I could be wrong. Try bolting it up and see what happens, its pretty easy to install. dammitjim
Thanks, good to know. I don't have it yet, I just bought it.
mpetty
That's the one - though technically, it is not for the sedan, only for the outback wagon. Nevertheless I along with others installed it on the LGT sedan. The two outside braces have nowhere to attach to and there is no handy-dandy plug for the wiring harness. I have mine installed and it fits great excepting the braces, which I already knew about. I still don't have the wiring patched in, since the vacation pix are a little lacking in the wiring department. Nothing a good 4-6 hour session with a Fluke meter won't fix, just haven't had the time.... Morgan
yamie700
I have a legacy wagon and there was a blank wire plug for mine, I had the wiring installed in about 5 minutes. Maybe they didn't put that plug in on the sedan though. You are right about the outside braces, even the legacy wagon has nowhere for those to go. I just left them in the box.
