MSB
Don't know if this is old news, but in the motors section of one of the Tokyo Magazines... "just as intel and AMD like to fight over incremental increases in computing power, Mitsubishi and Suabru have been locked in a 2-litre torque battle for a decade now. The Impreza WRX STi took the lead with 40.2kgm last year, but Mistubishi's Evo VIII MR edged ahead recently with 40.8kgm. However Subaru have in Impreza in the works that will knock out 42kgm of torque and break Japan's gentlemen's agreement not to exceed 280PS x 20 horsepower"
SUBE555
I say screw the gentlemans agreement. For import guys this battle is even more heated than any Cobra-Mustang battle as the one-upmanship is a year over year thing and very intense. axis008
Ew I hate that wing with all the fins on it. The grille on the STi is interesting. I think it looks like it has a nose ring or something. Nice ground effects though. -ben
SUBE555
The wing with all the fins is WRC-style design which is supposed to be aerodynamically more effective for racing (isn't that what this car is mean't for- not looking at). Gotta love those wheels though, looks like Detroit F1's. Someone on another forum mentioned the fenders may have gotten bigger to accomodate more rubber. I hope they include 225 rubber on an STi Legacy.
Dr. Zevil
The fenders do look bigger now that you mention it.. I don't really like the wing but at least it provides some function. Although I would hate to have to explain that the wing is a wrc replica and blah blah blah.. in other words I would delete the wing, but I really like the whole package.. wheels included.,
kage
I believe the fenders are supposed to accommodate 235 rubber.
SUBE555
Keeping up with the benjamins, I mean um, EVO. Yeah, gonna be sweet. I think that with more than the given power figures in the Leg, it really should have 225 rubber on their STi model though. Heck, even the FXT STi gets the same pack as the WRX STi. This 18x7" stuff is little more than aesthetic. Talking to some Paul, he said that 7" wheels and 215 tires is sorta scary with B4 RSK power. PPower
Those larger flares would be in line with the initial rumors from over a year ago and with the project cars that STi Genome manufacturer ASTe has built. I wouldn't be surprised to see 245 under those big flares and still have room for more. The STi by STi is sure sweet with 4 of SUBE's favorite Recaro seats in it. That is just amazing to have four buckets in the car. For inspiration, remember ASTe's red widebody chopped STi from Tokyo Auto Show 2003? Same thing but covered in yellow/tan leather. mmmm mmmm Since that started on the ASTe car along with the wide flares, maybe that is something that could be carried over to production. That would be killer.
Ridgeracer
Huumm.......now if we could only get those wheels in silver for our new Leg too.... "Gimme mines Balboa...Gimme mines".....Clubber Lang - Mr. T

I know for a matter of fact they look REALLY good on a BE Legacy. Dr. Zevil
From what I remember, those wheels weigh a TON. At least they will be bulletproof though I guess.
PPower
Yep, I noticed the similarity of the Detroits as well. Great looking BE btw.
Dr. Zevil
They do look really nice on the leg. They never seemed to look right on the WRX so I was never a big fan. Very nice looking on a more upscale car though..
SUBE555
First time I saw that, I was almost overwhelmed it looks so cool. I want to see black/bronze combo though. I think those colors are pretty mean.
Dr. Zevil
How about white with bronze or gold... DELICIOUS!! I also wouldn't mind seeing silver with gunmetal or anthracite rims.. Those are my favorite combos.
SUBE555
White looks good, but there is few black ones, have yet to see a good example with a not near-black bronze. Would definitely be rare.
