StealthGT
my '05 LGT underhood heatshield - the fibrous, asbestos-like blanket - is really showing its age. It was rotting out in a few places and generally looked really ugly. so I wondered if there's an aftermarket upgrade available like I've seen on a few WRX/STIs that looks like a nice aluminum foiled heat shield blanket. I know that seems a bit "blingin" but it can add a nice touch when you keep your engine bay lookin spiffy like I do. I realize the likelihood of a Legacy GT specific product is about 1-in-1000 chance. so I tried searching for an STI aftermarket product. no luck. does anyone know a vendor that makes these things??? a link would be nice. thanks

PhilT
Bump this thread to see if anyone else has come up with a replacement. I pulled mine off this week as it has more stains than a brothel mattress. It doesn't look bad naked, but I'm wondering if the heat will damage the paint without it. rurouni_x
i pulled mines of about 5-6 months ago with no problems, but you do get more sound from your engine.
PhilT
I don't mind more noise, I just don't want the paint to suffer. Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
