My wife has a 97 Concorde that she's quite happy with. I can't stand it. But she is a stickler for PM and will probably get 200k out of it. She does a lot of drving and likes a big car and it is a giant compared to the Spec. B. It does get 28+ mpg. She wants an Acura TL for her next ride.

My second car is a 1987 Merkur XR4Ti... actually make that second and third, because I have 2 of them. Otherwise I always have my wife's 06 Tribeca as another option to drive.

thats funny, thought i dot a glimpse of the door of a white one in one of your posts! i love those cars, they dont get the respect they deserve..a friend of mine has one with a cosworth preped head, t4 hybrid, front mount intercooled, its a strong runner...i always was a fan of 2.3 turbo motors...ive owned 3 turbo coupes, a 85-87- and 88 from 1994-1999......sorry aboutthe hyjack!

The LGT is my daily driver - the wife drives an '05 GTO, with a '91 Cherokee as her winter beater. We also have an '87 RX-7 with a Ford 302 in it, but the trans is being rebuilt in that right now.

I'd like to get an early Miata or perhaps another E30 body BMW, or even a Fox body Mustang as a second car, but we'll see what happens...

My newly acquired LGT is my DD now. Previously my DD (read: beater) was a '93 Protege LX, but that was my 2nd car for only a week, because i just sold it. I can't really call my '95 F-150 my 2nd, because I don't drive it anymore, and it's getting sold soon.

I suppose the only thing I can call my 2nd car is my '90 240sx with the S13 front end conversion. However, it's been in storage for the past 6 months since the KA developed a nasty rod knock, and there it will stay till I can afford to swap in an SR20. Of course, now I have to decide whether to save the money for the engine, or start modding the Legacy.

What a crisis.

my LGT is my DD, my "money pit" 2nd car is a 57 belair. Its rarely driven because it forever breaks on me.. every other drive I have to put about $50 in repairs into it. :(

but the crowd reaction on the street to the car is amazing. I wish there was someone here in the area I could pay like $10 to change the plugs and wires on it, its such a pain to work on these old cars.

^^ SWEET RIDE!!! (See, the reaction here is good, too!) Confused, though - I'm no expert but my impression was that all the old cars were easy to work on with lots of space in the engine bay and no OBDII stuff...?

Oops, got pimped by Mccorry... not that your ride isn't cool, too!

HAHAHA! Actually, both of my XR's are 87.5 mono whites. I have enough spare parts to pretty much duplicate your friends car, but as is, the one with most of the mods hasn't run in a couple years and the other one is a mostly stock beater. You are right about the Ford 2.3T motor. Crude but tough as nails, cheap as hell and takes well to mods.

Here are the pics of my new (to me!) 1971 240Z. 100,00 original miles. Needs new rubber weatherstripping all around, a new exhaust and a thourough tune-up for right now, otherwise will be a work-in-progress!
