eb50
so i bought a used "tuned by sti" badge from someone else on LGT.com. unnamed since he decided to ship it wrapped in kleenex. Needless to say, the kleenex more or less ruined the tacky stuff on the back of the badge. Anyone have any ideas what I should use to adher the badge to the exterior of my car. Needs to be paint friendly and hold up against hte cold and rain. TIA
gibjer
I have used the standard 3m foam subtrate tape for badging in the past without issue. '20 Legacy XT Touring 13 Subarus and counting: http://jmaigroup.com/subarus/

TSiWRX
3M Automotive Mo(u)lding tape - FTW! Blister packed in the auto-body area or adhesives of your local automotive parts retailer. Black base cardboard backing with yellow/white trim on the packaging. You'll see that the tape is "grey" in color; there will be red backing on both sides, so the "curled snail" appearance is going to look kinda funky. After you apply it, it may seem somewhat "thick," but it'll easily compress once you press the thing onto the car's body. This is the same kind of tape that's used to adhere exterior body (i.e. "aero") trim, and will hold up under any weather condition. It's also the same type of thing used for exterior body lettering/badges, etc., from the factory. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
