Hey, I ordered mine before Rommel, and I haven't received that e-mail yet. Maybe they are going to fill my order!

I got my call today saying "We're out of stock..blah blah blah...and we're not getting anymore P1s in anymore". I asked again and he confirmed, "No more P1s will be coming in". If a few weeks later I see that they're stocking more P1s, im filing a complaint against them. There should be NO reason why the wheels are still listed for sale if they're out of stock.

Y'all know, I've always loved doing business through Discount Tire Direct.

No more.

I think something like this needs to be examined by a third-party, like, perhaps, the BBB. If it was an honest mistake - then fine. But if they knew it was only going to be of limited quantities, for an item that's this popular in certain "vehicle cultures" as well as at that startling price, they should have foreseen the demand and perhaps either more closely monitored the site, or should have put up some sort of counter which would disable purchases once their known in-stock/future-stock quantities have been reached.

This is absolutely rediculous...makes me sick that businesses can trick people into buying crap until it's all out of stock, then continue to rip people into thinking that they can still get in on the deal...take their money then refund it? Give me a break, no business should be conducting themselves the way they did with this deal, especially when they deal with such a wide customer base...

agreed. it's not like you are 'owed' anything. Pricing faux-pas's are just that - a race against the clock to get in on the deal. Consider yourself extra lucky if you did.
