hyteck9
I was underneith the glovebox portion of the dash.... right where it meets the center console... noticed there are some wires with green harness clips that are NOT connected from factory.??? (Not part of the harness to the ECM just kinda off on their own.) I connected them.. (seemed like a good idea at the time?) Started the car and immediately got an engine light. Error code read (Clutch actuator Low voltage) Key off.... I unplugged the green clips... car is fine again. Does anyone know what these magical green clips do? I have a few guesses but would love some other opinions.
rao
Leave them unconnected. they are only connected when the ECU needs to be tested. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
BOXRPWR
paraphrasing the guy above.... I was rummaging through the field when I came across a bar of C4 explosives. But the detonator cord was unhooked. So I connected the wires and pressed the button. I blew up. sorry, couldn't help myself. always a good idea to know what something is/does before you mess with it. the greens are connected when you are reflashing the ECU base map. for example, if you get an AccessPort (AP). hyteck9
LOL... yea, I deserved that! I figured it was a test loopback of some kind... thanks for answering... and for not COMPLETELY insulting my intelligence. (I guess I would have figured it out whenever I get around to ordering my AccessPort.)
