Fujitsubo Legalis R Installed /Pics

Recommended Posts

After much waiting and wondering, I picked up my Fujitsubo exhaust on Monday, and installed it the same night. I thought I'd post a few pics of this piece of welding art. Obviously fit and finish are top notch on this system.

I was a little concerned with the size of the tips on the mufflers, as they measure 4.5 inchs across. But, it's growing on me. The sound is exactly what I wanted, my LGT has an nice exhaust note now, but far from loud. It's pretty much inaudible on the freeway, unless you get on the gas of course.

Having now completed my turbo back, I'm pretty happy with the way the car pulls now. Though, with the GPMoto headers I think it's time for a Protune.

looks nice! Too bad it reduces to 2.5" where it meets the DP. Nevertheless, its one clean exhaust..

Install was 45 min. including set-up, clean-up

Note on install: The swivel connection between the y-pipe and the muffler allow you to adjust the muffler's final position a touch. So, get out the tape measure to make sure both of them are set to an equal height.

I agree, the tips are a touch big. But, they are not crazy coffee can big. My roommate who has a 330xi thinks they are big, but not to the point of looking silly. And he is way anal about this stuff.

Yeah, they brought the box out, and I'm like WTF, that's not going to fit in my car! It's well packed though, your expensive exhaust isn't going to get damaged in that thing.

Rear pictures you can actually see.

Very nice ... I don't think they are too big .... :) Where did you purchase these from and how much did you pay? (If it hasn't been covered somewhere already).

Gruppe-S. It was $1200. They did a "group-buy" on these that went a little rough. It's tough to collect people for an exhaust this expensive. Try pricing out a Porsche/BMW/Audi exhaust though.... You really get what you pay for here, this is top notch.

I think they look great! :)

Then again, I'm on a set of Blitz NurSpec Touring canisters - my "tips" ( I don't feel right calling them that, being that they're so frigging gigantic! ) are about the same size.

So, I'm biased! ;)

Looks great! Congrats!
