SWP-LegacyGT
Curious since a LOT of people are selling their stock wheels and figured it might not be a bad idea to have one just in case.

planigan
Haven't tried it myself, but when I bought my sedan the salesman mentioned that a full-size spare would fit fine if you lose the foam tray.
MIKEBRAVO
just checked and they do fit but U might have to take the foam thing out for it to close I wonder if it will keep the trunk deck from sagging? Johan
So it will not be noticable from just looking in the trunk? Has anyone else tried this?
TRS
I just put a 225/40R18 full size spare in my trunk and it fit in the well with no problem.

Lagacy GT
HOLY SHIT. Now to find someone selling a stock wheel. And, does the AWD fck with this at all? Don't you have to have tires running the same way or whatever?
DuraMax
HOLY SHIT. Now to find someone selling a stock wheel. And, does the AWD fck with this at all? Don't you have to have tires running the same way or whatever? Yes you do - its important that all the tires are oriented vertically along parrallel planes and not horizontally or a mix of the 2. Sk8erOrd
The important thing with AWD is the outside diameter of the TIRE. They have to be within 1/4" of each other to prevent wear to the rest of the drivetrain. When you have to use the donut spare, Subaru says to pull the AWD fuse to force 2 wheel drive use. You will probably see less problems with a full size spare than the donut, especially if there is near equal treadwear. 2015 Mustang Ecoboost Premium w/ PP (6MT) 2006 LGT Ltd 5MT OBP Cobb Short Throw Shifter | GS Catless Up Pipe Gone

RobE
I have a stock tire as my spare. And yes you do have to lose the foam tray and it will cause the cover to sag. My solution was to fold a towel and put that in there. http://newenglandsubarus.com/
f1anatic
It fits just fine. But ditch the polyurethane tray.

elpete77
It does fit, everything fits under the tire with the rim facing up. But the full size tires are mostly directional, so you have to be a bit careful with that.

Longitude
My sedan LGT has full sized spare 225/45/17 + 17x7.5 BBS STI stock wheel, fits perfectly into well. Like others said, need to remove the foam tray though.
Joon525
Has anyone thought about trimming the foam tray so that you can still use it? Maybe there's something about the way it's shaped that makes going this route a bad idea but I'm not at my car right now to see for myself.
