SSR professor SP1- What do you think?

I'm looking for a second set of rims for winter already, I sold my Wedsports so I'm gonna need another set. Summer rims are Limited edition Gloss black CE28's that I think I'm getting bored with:icon_conf . I've had them on for 3 months but I'm thinking about getting rid of those as well.

too heavy, get a set the new SSR comps instead... or a set of something else that is lightweight.

SSR's are nice wheels, but are known to be soft "Super Soft Rims".

I think that's just a myth.. any rim is soft if you dont have the proper tire size to go with it.

The mesh design is the strongest rim to get.. SSR use to make a lot of old school basket-weave mesh rims which they were known for.. now they just make the simplified race rim that is 1/2 the cost of a Volk or others. SSF yields very good strength, just dont run into a curb (for any rim for that matter).

I currrently own 3 sets of SSR Comps, and all of them are fine, even for hopping over curbing at the track and as well as street use of driving through DC, Boston, Florida, PA, Ohio, and even NYC.. so what's the problem?

jsalicru, had a set of those on his ride before. I think they belonged to a friend of his. I wasn't too big of a fan of the look though. I had them on my gti and my s14.5. They were definitely a bit soft. I'm not a big fan of ssf technology. I'd take true forged wheels any day.

I don't like the rivets.

The wheels look like a quality product though.

Hmmm.... What do you think the gunmetal for the spec b? Or be crazy and go with the gold?

since a Spec B is silver, I would do silver or gunmetal.. but since you already have Black CE28s, I would go with silver or some high polish to give it a little "bling" for year-round use. Or you can go really wild with some cinnamon color rims to match your interior :p
