So let me get this right:

The 06 WRX UP is catless and interchangeable with '05/'06 LGT's?

What is the difference between the STI and the WRX UP?

I think both pipes have a heat shield, which is why I would prefer one to a 3rd party UP. Radiant heat is not cool! I'm also pro cast and pro flex.

My other car is a 1993 Chevy S-10 Tahoe! (Currently being driven to failure by my nephew)

Yes.

Dunno. Maybe none

Why? Heat sheilds, wrap and coating are all good things. Without it your adding to underhood temps. Plus if you keep more heat in the exhaust, gases move faster = quicker spool up.

so no matter what...I need the resistor fix. If I replace the pipe with a bungless one. If I replace the pipe with a gutted stock one. Either way, I am going to get a check engine light because the sensor is either not in use, or not at the correct operating temperature. Correct?
