What is the difference between the STI and the WRX UP? I think both pipes have a heat shield, which is why I would prefer one to a 3rd party UP. Radiant heat is not cool! I'm also pro cast and pro flex. Yes. Dunno. Maybe none Why? Heat sheilds, wrap and coating are all good things. Without it your adding to underhood temps. svx6 Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 so no matter what...I need the resistor fix. If I replace the pipe with a bungless one. If I replace the pipe with a gutted stock one. Either way, I am going to get a check engine light because the sensor is either not in use, or not at the correct operating temperature. Correct?
