SubLo
vs just sourcing the 'real' kenwood model that this is based on ? The Touch-Screen is the Kenwood FGZ000UF2. The Nav/DVD unit under the seat is based on the Kenwood KNA-DV3200. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...

SubLo
Is there any way to override the *agree* screen so it just starts every time you start the car? No one's figured this out yet. You'd have reprogram the EPROM to the best of my knowledge. I suppose you could "trick" it into believe it's always one by jumper'ing the power but that's kind of ghetto. You'd have some power drain and also have to remember to manually turn it off all the time. Someone will figure it out one of these days. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
Throttlejockey
One more question..I understand you guys with the 6 m/t need to have the parking brake on till you modify the system. My car is the 5EAT and seems to only need to be stopped to work it. Is the mod different for the auto? I haven't really played with it too much yet. You need the Parking Brake on to enter Destinations yes. The existing mod grounds out a pin and "fools" the NAV into thinking the PB is on all the time when it isn't allowing you to enter Destinations while driving (not recommended for the driver). It doesn't matter if you have a 5MT or 6MT. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...

mikefoy6
Unhacked I can enter the destination without parking brake. I just have to be stopped. +1 In my 08 spec.b you only have to be stopped to TYPE IN destinations. You can still enter in destinations from "marked points" Since i grounded that pin, i dont have to worry about that anymore though:cool:
Vimy101
You just have to be stopped when unhacked. Seems the hack makes the Nav think it is stopped but some functions remain unavailable while in motion. It is so cool to be able to check out gps speed vs speedometer while on the fly.
