Looking into ADRs, opinions, anyone have them?

Well I broke my own rule that I would never get fake bullets. I really don't like them, but I enjoy the way this rim looks and for the price I will have to accept them for now. Hopefully down the road these will get replaced with GOOD rims, but for now they are a good in between.

17 x 7 40mm offset. Going to run my stock potenzas for now.

They should look good on the LGT.

Here is a thread with them on a Scion in 18"

EDIT: I forgot to add that I got these for $395 SHIPPED from Cali. The auction had the buy-it-now option, and the best offer option. I was going to use the buy-it-now but then noticed they had a "best offer" option. So for the hell of it I submitted an offer $10 less and about an hour later they accepted! These are selling for $50 more by every other seller on Ebay, so I did not want to puch my luck. Anyway... for those that see the "best offer" option, try it out.... it might just work!

ya, i had emailed the guy about shipping cost to AK. we get screwed big time. :( it was gonna be $235 just for shipping, so i told him never mind. well whoever won the auction had to back out and so he offered them to me for the same price, SHIPPED to AK! I opted to get the lugs too, so it ended up being only $430 TOTAL shipped UPS from the East Coast to AK! when i looked online, the closest in price who would ship to me was over $600! :O

those rims are gonna look sharp! the ADR rims are pretty good quality imo, and look very nice. mine are a tad bit heavier, 18 lbs there abouts i think. I believe the stockers are around 17 lbs (i saw this somewhere but don't recall).

Tracking on the wheels shows 43lbs for 2 boxes. They are shipped in 2's.... and strapped together. So the rims are 21.5 lbs each minus the packaging. I think it is safe to say they will be under 20 lbs each. I don't know what the stockers weigh... anyone know?

I "could" go drag out a stock wheel setup (with Icebears), plus the unmounted RE2s....but I won't!! Headed out for "Happy Hour" in 15 minutes!! :icon_bigg

Going from memory: stock wheels @ 18#s + 23#s for the RE92s. The Rotas are 16#s + 22#s for the Pilot Exalto PE2s. Each of these combos was weighed on a scale, plus individually (wheel & tire) back over a year ago.

Thanks guys. Since my budget was low for my summer rims... I did opted not to get light rims. Light rims + pothole = bent rim.

+1

yep, i hear ya. i had to do a lot of smooth talking to get mine. but for $400 shipped to AK, even hubby couldn't let that deal go. lol

Man what a great company, I got the rims from California in just a few days. One has two small blemishes, and the box looked like hell. FedEX slid something across it I think. Anyway... I will probably just buff them. They came with the lip wrapped in a thick plastic, and those giant 'hair net' looking things that protect the front of the rim. Then that whole assembly was in a thick bag, in a box. So in short, good packaging.

I have been looking at these for some time. pic 1 is 18x7.5 45mm, and pic 2 is 18x7.5 48mm. I have a silver wagon, which do you all think would look best?

THis one. I am a sucker for mesh-style rims, though. (and redheads, but that is a different matter, and I am married to great redhead, who I need to convince that I should be allowed to buy mesh-style wheels.)

From my buddy with a WRX, he has mentioned that guys have cracked Rotas, which makes more sense, since they are cast. Usually cast rims will crack before they bend (forged rims wil bend). Not to say cast rims "won't" bend, but it's unusual.

Rota makes so many different wheels that some may be heavy, but my 17x7.5" SDR rimes are 2#s lighter than stock (about 16#s).

FWIW, as I mentioned earlier, i was very leery of the 14# Koseis that Tire Rack sells, as they are cast, and I don't feel that they would hold up to Detroit-area roads. If I were to get sub 15# wheels, I would get forged.

The ony problem with the rotas (also confirmed by the WRX guys who do Tail of the Dragon) that when Rotas get hot, the center caps fal out, and they don't even snap in when the wheels cool. Luckily, mine did it in the pits of a track event (on the fronts). I then sealed in the center caps with high-temp silicone, and they're fine. I'll just remove them myself at new-tire time.

I won't consider a wheel that is a dual-setup, that is 10 holes so it will fit two different fitments (and too many extra holes to keep clean). Give me 5x100 only with the correct hole 56.1mm center bore so I don't have to use center-bore adapters.
