where do u buy molex plug that plugs back into nav system for the rear view camera.. ?

i was searching radio shack forever and couldnt find it.. they had some similar ones.. but not the exact one i was looking for..

the molex plug i used was a 6 pin plug i cut up. i think it was from an alpine nav but i'm really not sure. if you take the screen apart enough you may be able to soldier directly to the back of the plug. good luck

According to the post at http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=755148&postcount=45, the Molex part number is 39-01-3042. You can order that from Digikey for $0.54 plus S&H (see http://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?site=US&keywords=39-01-3042&x=20&y=13).

The yearly map update DVD for the system.

I have seen internal Subaru pics with it on the Tribeca which goes on sale in Europe this week.

Although the B9 ships with Version 3 initially and Version 4 from February.

The new Version 4 Subaru DVD to go sale in December in Europe lets you input destinations while moving after you Agree to a screen that asks you: ‘Are you the passenger?’
That's great news! I'm crossing my fingers that this capability will be present on the next version of the North American DVDs. If not, I wonder whether building a new DVD with the North American LOADING.KWI replaced by the European version of that file is feasible.

has anyone tried using the discs for the Kenwood KNA DV-3200.

Would using the kenwood discs unlock some of the non-subaru features of this unit?

Which non-Subaru features, other than no German or Spanish, do you think are locked?

When plugging in the microphone/switch it works, but the menu for the microphone language i.e. male or female voice recognition does not show up.

THere is no 3d as the kenwood has. I have a traffic unit coming shortly that I bought extremely cheap just to see what happens when it is hooked up although kenwood's official word on the traffic unit is it is not supported in the US.

THe only Traffic Unit that I know of for our Units, a modified KNA3200 I believe is the TMC320. I have one coming and will let you know what happens. Currently subscriptions have to be purchased in the US while in Europe TMC is free. I am hoping 2 things.

1. The TMC software was not removed out of the subaru nav

2. The signals are not encrypted and the receiver will pick up the signals and wont require activation as it looks like the new GPS units yo uenter an activation code to allow TMC(Traffic) Hopefully the old ones will just work. I am getting it extrememly cheap from an installer so if it doesn't work no loss.

There is more to it then this on the straightup Kenwood unit? Male/Female on the "regular" menus?

Hmm... upon doing a little research, it seems like you will need to purchase a subscribtion (in the U.S.) in order to decode those TMC messages even though the TMC320 "should" work with our Subies. It seems as if XM is one provider.

Lot's of good info on the topic here: http://www.tmcforum.com/

The only place I've seen the TMC320 for sale is here:

The GTM-10? I just bought one for my Kenwood, it's definately supported.

The fact that a Garmin TMC receiver works with your aftermarket Kenwood nav system (built on a Garmin engine) is not surprising or useful at all for owners of the Subaru OEM nav system (built on a Denso engine). I estimate that the chances of the Garmin GTM-10 working with the Subaru nav system are about zero.
