MacLGT-B
Some VW R32 buddies of mine were sponsoring this event and invited me. http://www.thewcccarclub.com/ And my Spec.B came in "Asian Stock-1St Place" It not the biggest Trophy out there, But it sure felt good winning it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/CarShow3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/CarShow1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/CarShow2.jpg

OCDetails
Those types of bras are only for road trips. They aren't meant to be fashion statments or anything. Put it on if you are going to drive around, but for sure you should take it off for a show. It looks a little tacky IMO. Other than that, congrats on the win! _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . MacLGT-B
How did you mount that plate to the car? Where did you get that plate? I used Earth-Magnets... http://www.rare-earth-magnets.com/ Usually you glue these Magnets to the inside of the bumper and they're so strong your plate would just hold on. I didn't have time to remove the bumper so I just glued the Magnets to plate holder. I got the plate from here... http://www.europlates.com/cust-germ-02.htm

Actually SOA don't recommend the use of these bra's on the turbo when driving. They deflect the air away from the hood-scoop, not a good thing. I do have a RockBlocker clear Bra install on the car. For now I was just experimenting with the bra. I was going for the black-out look.
OCDetails
That's interesting, because there isn't anything about the design of the bra you have on that car that could cause wind to be deflected from the hood scoop. The purpose of that bra is to protect the car from bugs and rocks while driving. I'm sure SOA has one for the turbo model that allows air into the hood scoop just like they have a bug shield for the turbo model. _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . Brady
thats not a real spec b is it? color looks off based on the red leather seats, I'm pretty sure it's a spec.B Color balance probably just makes it look a little lighter.
aldouse
subaru does have another bug/rock deflector available for turbo applications. the one that you're using was designed for NA applications. -- yay for the sig! -- my garage!
jj808
It was pointed out that there are 2 types of "bras" sold. The non-turbo and the turbo version. The turbo version was a bit more expensive than the non-turbo one. The turbo one is a piece of dark plastic that wont deflect the wind from the scoop and conforms to the hood. The one you have is the non-turbo. I think from a design perspective the only way that one can "deflect" the wind is the seem that runs across the top of that bra. That might be the reason but that is a WAG.

DukeTrout
Actually, the rough texture of the "leather" would build up a cushion of air that might indeed push air over the hood scoop. Or it just might be an excuse to sell you a more expensive deflector... Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!

MacLGT-B
The bra is coming off, Wait a munite that didn't sound right, well you know what I mean. TYNY - The tint does affect the output of the lights by about 20%, yes the rear lip is bolted in, had to drill about 5 holes and the 3rd brake light on the lip is functional. Here's the pictures... 1) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/LGT-FXT/RearSpoiler12.jpg 2) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/LGT-FXT/RearSpoiler7.jpg 3) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/LGT-FXT/RearSpoiler3.jpg 4) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/LGT-FXT/RearSpoiler1.jpg Bu11dogg2 - Yes, the Spec.B is been lowered this Thursday. Just got my ION Springs in the mail today from "The Group 4 Buy". Jon from TDC Tuning will be doing the install, along with the front & rear sway bars/endlinks. wrxivr - The wheels are OZ Ultraleggera in Matte Graphite Silver 17X8... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/MacR32/oz_ultraleggera.jpg needed to go with a small diameter, NYC streets are brutal.
