ok first of this was a piece of cake because i didnt have the electronic tempertaure controls .....mounted d2 to original radio brackets and used metras single din kit

Metra’s New 99-8901 Kit Provides Perfect Fit for 2005 Subaru Legacy and Outback

but the hardest part was cutting out the metra with a dremel and using body filler and sanding and then finally painting ........ but i have to say it looks damn good and works perfect ...next step take it back out sand it again and have it professional sprayed ..but not anytime soon .....i did enough work for now ..time to sit back and enjoy

ohh yeah and i also spent some time hacking the dvd navigation software so it could display my subaru backgrounds and my subaru gauges

any questions about this install feel free to ask

what a misleading title. it has been possible on the 2.5i for quite some time now
"Barack Obama, mothaf#%@a! Barack Obama! I'm the president...of hittin' the ass!" -this is not a political view it's merely a quote from a hilarious tv show.

Hmmm I think I can pull something like this in the electronic tempertaure controls Panle!!!

I have been planning on doing something but I need to get another electronic tempertaure control system incase I messed up with this one :)

so I think Id better wait till I get my hand on another panel and play with that

i pulled the radio out and saw how tricky its going to be to replace the head with electronic hvac, i am suprised to see that the back of my factory nav screen has a video jack on it. i hot wired a dvd player to it and it looks great! hoping to retain the factory screen and install an avic-z1 in the bottom. anyone even attempted this yet?

The pics look great...do you have any measurements? I think I'm going to take the plunge and try this myself. Nice install!
