EJ20H-TT
Have been doing a little experimenting. I bought a little LCD digital thermometer and installed on my car today. Looking too find out what air temp was entering the intake etc. Quite warm here today ambient temps about 24-25C (75F ?) and i tested the position of the standard air intake on my car BD Legacy TT. Which is pretty much where all Subbies have their intake. In urban driving 25/35 mph I found air temps well above ambient - generally 30-35C with stopping at the lights/intersection i hit a peak of 40-45C. Out on the open road 60mph+ there was plenty of cool air and temps fell to ambient. So one can conclude a CAI really only can reduce intake temps at lower speeds. Which of course is useful at the traffic light grand prix !
