SLegacy99
Anyone know of the different generations of AWD technology Subaru has developed?
Beanboy
Sure there are sources (cars101?) that go into specific model years... But Subaru had part-time system (50/50 lock), some with a modest low-range, for a while. (70s, 80s and into 90s) Fulltime system of the 80s, only manuals had rear LSD...not sure if some models with the center diff (50/50) had a viscous limited slip or not. Autos I believe were the current 90/10 system similar to 4-speed autos of today. SVX had a computer-controlled clutch-based system that could vary torque distribution by 10-20 percent. And then we get into the modern stuff that I can't keep track of, hehe -B http://www.standardshift.com
