SLegacy99
http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=80810 This is why we drive newer cars with modern safety features. Tis a shame though. Hope whoever bought my '88 hasnt totaled it, assuming it isnt just a pile of rust somewhere.

SLegacy99
Yes, apparently the Prelude is a very safe car...though only recieved 1 star for the drivers crash test. Hmm.
matt
I've wondered how accurately the standard crash tests reflect how safe vehicles actually are. There's so many ways a collision can happen - way more than it's practical to test on every car. Still, the tests are much better than nothing and I don't doubt that the cars that do well in tests tend to do well overall in the real world. You're certainly better off picking a safe car using crash test results than by going "well this one looks pretty safe..."
SLegacy99
Well sure. Take the Impreza for example. Good ratings. Who remembers the guy who was flattened by two Tractor trailers. And he didnt even get hurt.
Jedi Pimp
I think that dude in the the Impreza just lucked out. If his car didin't go under the truck in front of him he would have been mushed flat.
