what are LOC's?
A Line Out Converter changes speaker level signals into line level signals so you can feed it into an amp or another headunit's aux-in.

Sorry to bump this thread. So, there's no way to be able to have your new head unit control the CD changer via CD changer controls? It would be nice to be able to use the factory head unit's CD changer just like any normal aftermarket CD changer. LOC's the only option?

yes.... and since the stock head unit sends an amplified signal via speaker wires, you need to step down the hi-level voltage to a low-level....with a line out converter... its just a small box with speaker wires on one end and rca's on the other... you hook up the speaker wires from the stock radio to the LOC and then plug the rca's to the aux in on the aftermarket radio, there you go cd-changer in use....
