mbanks21
Hey guys, Im looking to purchase a 05/06 LGT and just had a quick question about performance options. From what Ive gathered browsing the forums its pretty much: CAI, UP, DP, Catback, ECU flash. Do I need a new MP or just get a DP that replaces the MP? Also, what kind of HP are we looking at for the above mentioned mods? Im coming from a 98 M3 vert with ~290HP but I need something with 4 doors and the LGT is a real sleeper. RuskiTrombone
Welcome to the boards. CAI will not be necessary. Full turboback exhaust which includes UP and DP coupled with a stage two reflash through the Cobb Accessport will net you about 340 to the crank. There are other gains to be made via pulleys and a TMIC or just upgrade the turbo to let's say a G20 turbo. Anything and everything I had mentioned above can also be easily searched on this site as there are hundreds of threads just like this one. Good luck with the purchase. mbanks21
So I can get the UP, DP, and stage 2 sw w/ TDC at the same time. Whats the benefit of the TDC?

rallispec
So I can get the UP, DP, and stage 2 sw w/ TDC at the same time. Whats the benefit of the TDC? just a more aggressive map over the stock COBB stage 2 map. (higher boost, timing, etc..)
tintinet
And, if stage 1 experience translates, a smoother tune.
rfd425
If you're coming from an E36 M3, you're going to want to do some suspension mods. You can do just springs fairly cheaply, or you can do struts and springs, or coilovers, for more money. One option is to get Spec B Bilstein struts, and STi pink or swift springs. Total cost should be in the $1,800 range, but you can reduce that if you can source some JDM Bilstein struts (either Spec B or JDM GT). With Stage 2 power, a brake upgrade is probably a good idea as well.
blklgt05
most people who are looking for serious performance spend 100+hrs tuning and have 10+ different performance map for different setting and temp. So just so you know, even if you get stage 2 on cobb ap with up/dp/cbe.. you probably wont be able to optimize their power fully. mod journal
