HungHing88
I just installed my DP today, I did my UP a couple of weeks ago. While I was driving home, the steady check engine light and blinking cruise light came on. Once i got home, I try to read the code: It saids: Found OBD, P0586 Searched it online, and it saids Cruise Control Vent Control Circuit/Open Anyone can help??? Does it have anything to do with a Perrin Short Ram intake with A perrin turbo inlet hose.. Any suggestion in fixing it?? thanks JP

PhilT
Use the inbuilt code reader, the AP is not always correct. Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon

No, not the AP, the one that displays the CEL in the odometer display. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10146&d=1127189539 Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon

eamiller
I would say that's an incorrect code. The new Legacy doesn't have a vacuum operated cruise control system. Clear it and see if it shows up again.
HungHing88
but the guy at the daeler said that it has something to do with the hose near the heat shield thing, it got disconnected, when they were putitn a new heat shield cover on... So i should clear it with the AP right!!
legacy2005
ya, clear it with the ap. and see if it resets, if so then go hunting for the source or the code, no point in looking for something that might not be a problem anymore. Work hard. Play even harder. My Garage
