karlxmas
How effective would it be for me to do my own custom exhaust like maybe throwing a bypass switch on it. Im looking for cheap thrills not spending a whole lot on a borla or some other brand. I wouldnt mind hollowing my cats, but I dont know if the turbo was designed to have them. Im not to turbo savvy, but the hollowed cats worked wonders in my NA Supra.

Xenonk
unbolting the catback and running a straight pipe is best free-flowing system you can get out of a turbo.. NA is another story with pressure waves and back pressure issues.. Your car wont feel too much of a difference at all, not until you start pushing the motor past 4500 rpms.. and then you might feel the car move around town easier instead of it slowing down in acceleration as if it hit a brick wall.. It's a potential mod.. until you get the car tuned to run in such a fashion (some engine management or some kind of advance timing or minor added boost) you wont feel much at all.
