... the sincerest form of flattery, so I hope Drewster doesn't kill me when he see's my photoshop hacks of his car. I'm trying to decide if I like the 5, 6, or 7 spoke SSR wheels. Also, tried to see what a twin tip Stromung Exhaust would look like on an OBXT with smoked tails.

Nah, I like Drewster's wheels best chunkier five-spokes look better on an OB. The tips look freaking great, would love that treatment on mine. *holding head* Where am I going to come up with MONEY for this crap?

I think black SSR Professors would look great on a black OB. I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices, I just have a thing for the five-spoke...maybe a retro thing: they remind me of the old Sube painted spoked wheels (though they were eight spokes.)

expect a call from my lawyer in the morning... :icon_mad::lol:

those 4 pipes hanging below the bumper don't look half bad. I've had it stuck in my head we needed cutouts in the diffuser panel in order for the pipes to look good but they look pretty nice as is. But it is a photoshop, who knows what it will look like in 3D. Just like wheels, you really need to see the real thing to know if it's right or wrong. Photos only give a hint to what it really looks like.

Good job so far....

not sure if you've seen this post from a while back, maybe it's from before you got on this board.

I feel like an idiot! I didn't even see that poll!

I love my 17" comps, but the OBXT needs wide 18's bad. I'll probably go with the GT2 or GT7 on the price point factor though.

Golds and Bronzes always look really sharp on a blacked out car. Not so much on anyother color.

I'm talking with Dale Teague (of Teague's Auto, Boxer4Racing.com) to see if he can have Stromung fab me up a wagon set of pipes with resonators in the tips. I like the heavier look of them rather than the rolled sheet metal that is currently offered.

I'll post some pics if and when I get it.

Too bad Stromung didn't get their act together last summer and release a wagon version - many of us were asking and vendors calling, but no response. I sent emails and left voicemail to no avail as well.

My original plan was 1/2 the quads (twin tips on one side or the other).

Heck, it's a 4-banger!

I'm partial to the 6-spoke competitions, since that is what I have now, though in 17x7.5 anthracite. I'm waiting on my coilovers to come in before I throw them on there.

The 5-spoke GT2 are so hot and on sale as well!

I like the 6-spoke SSR Comp. wheels the best. That quad-tip and the OBXT's body kit does look bad-ass. Though I do have an aversion to the idea of having an exaust tip per cylinder...

after thinking more about the 4 pipes, I think it only looks good now because you don't see those big cans behind the pipes. In order for the pipes to come out horizontally, the cans in back will have to be much lower than stock, unless you're able to create some kind of s-bend from the muffler to the tailpipe. I'm back to the original thought that I would want exhause cutouts in the diffuser panel.

guess what i'm say is if you look at your photoshopped pipes, the cans are recessed much higher into the chassis whereas in reality, the cans will be much lower and more visible. It won't look as clean as your photoshopped picture. Well maybe if the cans were painted black, they would recede into the chassis and all you'd see are the pipes. :iam:

one more thought, in order for the pipes to clear, won't you need to have longer exhaust hangers and in turn won't the cans and pipes be tilted towards the ground and no longer horizontal. That would look like ass.

I'm making this stuff up as I go along. I don't mind being the guinee pig and see if it will work.

I see what you're saying and I think you're right. I'm hoping that they will clear the bumper without hanger,s but I'm going to get a longer set anyways. I dont know if it will be tilted toward the ground or not. it might be, but I'm thinking that the rear end of the OBXT looks like it might be more angled than the LGT wagon. I'm hoping that I'll be able to trim the cans out and keep them level with the ground.

It'll be like my wrx wagon, you don't know if something from the sedan will fit until you try it!
