4mcrue
Ok, drive the car tonight to go out to eat supper. I let it warm up a few minutes, drive off, and everything is fine. Never hit above 35, but drive for quite a few blocks, pull up to a light. All of a sudden I hear, like a BOV sound, or a ppppppfffffeeewwwwww. I'm like, what was that. So, light turns green, pull up to the next red light, and I hear clanging, clanging, under the hood, so I turn off and decide to head home. One more block later, and it stops, and didn't do it again. It sounded like a rattle, clang, at a idle, and weird turbo sounds. Now what.... I drove it around, revved it up, gave it gas, got up to speed, etc....later on, and nothing made any noise. 4mcrue
I wish it would have made the sound longer, I let it idle at my house, and revved it up to 4500, like 3 times, let it idle, nothing. Everything under the hood sounds, looks fine. But it was a huge clang/rattle sound, didn't sound good at all. Well, I guess I'll just drive it more, see what happens, full warranty, who knows. As long as it doesn't leave the wife sit somewhere, lol
firedawgs
Did it sound like a bean in a coke can? I had that problem once; it ended up being the actuator. Updated my vBGarage:
4mcrue
hmmm, hard to say. I imagined it being like having something metal in the garbage disposal, lol. If that makes any sense. Or like, a fan hitting something each time the blade came around.
4mcrue
Well, put about 40 miles on it today. Some (most) of them, hard miles, sport shift, 5-6K, 90 mph, etc...absolutely no problems. Who knows, I do have to say, that the Legacy is a spoof of a car, meaning, lots of weird sounds, smells, etc.....The worst of the umpteen cars I've owned in my life, so who knows.....
