John M
Since the Neon platform has been killed off, I was wondering what they'd replace it with. All I can say is "wow." http://www.autoblog.com/2006/02/08/aye-carumba-dodge-unloads-the-300-hp-caliber-srt-4 "With 300 horsepower under the hood, the Dodge Caliber SRT4 will dominate the sport-compact market." 300hp, 260 torque, 6spd, still FWD. Price to be announced later.

PeterJMC
I just dropped a deuce that looked better than that. Hmm... wouldn't torque steer be a problem?
Aczwild
Seriously if someone pulled up next to me in that and started revving the engine I'd just laugh at them because of how stupid looking it is and just how dumb they look in it. Sure you have the power, but lets go around a corner at speed in winter, or in summer for that matter 300 hp is breaking the 250 hp limit for FWD vehicles and all you get is a pile of smoke JDM'd All to hell Thanks Jimmy @ Hkc-Speed.com! Whitestar Pilot
I don't get it either. Once again, IMO the Stratus Coupe is way sexier, and should have got the 2.4 Turbo, instead of the axe.

konrad
key is to stop thinking Sedan or Coupe only. That's how most of the small cars look in Europe and Jap that's going to be a trend here too
PhilT
key is to stop thinking Sedan or Coupe only. That's how most of the small cars look in Europe and Jap that's going to be a trend here too Yes, but the hatchbacks in Europe, like the Vauxhalls, Fiats, Citroens, Renaults etc. are a hundred times better looking, and a thousand times more reliable. If your're going to do it, do it right ! Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
bdisco
Neon SRT4 looked like a bug eyed WRX. Caliber SRT4 looks kindda like a Forester.
fzanetti
I don't get it either. Once again, IMO the Stratus Coupe is way sexier, and should have got the 2.4 Turbo, instead of the axe. I think that too, they should ve got the Stratus into the SRT family not this mini mini SUV..... This is a sweet engine, very well balanced and delivers great power, however on the front axle only??? DC has got to be kidding us!!!!! It's like the PT Cruiser Turbo edition, big fiasco!!! Now let's wait for GM to turbocharge the HHR Hahahahahahahaha The Untouchables must be happy looking from above us and seeing their cars getting all modern and into production nowadays... yamie700
I don't think it looks bad, but I like wagons. Does seem to sit too high though. If it had AWD or RWD it might be decent, for the first 40,000 miles. After that all bets are off as I do not trust DC products.
fzanetti
If it was offered with AWD, I would have taken a look. Me too!!!! Well deserved for 125hp/liter heheheeheheh ;-) Not 300hp on a FWD car....
