Saul_Good
First off I wanna say thanx to Myles and Racecompengineering for getting these things to me. This weekend I added SpecB STi Pinks to my Rev.A Struts. Ok, so I installed everything yesterday (springs & lower rear ties). Here's what i noticed: The STI Spec B pinks made the ride better. Before with the Rev.A springs it was bouncy like the struts where overdampening the spring. But now with the pinks, the ride seems less bouncy and almost what it was when I had the stock spring/struts. Handling: The handling is better. The car feels like it's more willing to rotate when I need it. Adding these springs made my car react and manuever the way I wanted. These springs were the last thing I needed to get the car to achieve the type of handling "I" wanted. I'm able to get on the gas a little bit more earlier in a turn. I can't wait to try these out with my summer rim/tire combo at autox. As for the drop. It is a nice modest drop. It's not slammed, its just right for me. I forgot to take after measurements with my tape measure, but lucklily i took before measurements. When I'm not busy i'll let everyone know what the after measurement drop was. rfd425
Nice, Hopefully one day when I get money to spend on my car again I can pick up some pink springs for my jdm gt bilstien struts. There's been a couple of used sets of pinks for sale by members in the last week, and they were asking ~$250. There might even still be a set available. Mods don't get much cheaper than that. Considering what you probably spent on the JDM Bilsteins, ask yourself if you can afford not to get the pinks!
Saul_Good
I measured the drop. It's ~1inch around.
kanoswrx
Yeah, I saw one person selling them, but I didn't see any others, I will go look again. Deffinetly can't pass that up for 250.

rfd425
I have this setup and it is great - bit hard in the city, but really well setup for everything else, and a lot of fun at the track. Which setup do you have? JDM GT Struts with pinks, or JDM Spec B struts w/Spec B pinks, or one kind of strut with the other kind of pink? I have some Rev. A Spec B takeoffs sitting in my garage that will go on the car in the Spring, but I want to get Spec B pinks to go with the Spec B struts. I think a few guys on here have run Spec B struts with GT pinks, but I want the setup to be as well-matched as possible. Unfortunately, when used pink springs come up for sale, they are generally the regular GT pinks.

I have the regular pinks sold by racecomp - I don't believe they are jdm, but I'll admit to getting confused about all the variations these days. the struts are the jdm bilstein spec b/rev A. I'd say that the match is very good but that the rev.A struts are quite firm - it doesn't suprise me that subaru allegedly softened up the rev.B a little bit. getting out of the legacy game
SC GT
I think all pinks for the LGT are JDM. If USDM pinks were available, they'd be on sale at dealers and would be listed on the SubaruUSA/SPT website. And I'd say, unless you specifically asked for the Spec B pinks, you probably got the JDM GT pinks.

They're designed for either the regular JDM Legacy GT, or for the JDM Legacy Spec B. Also, there are variations for AT & MT, and for sedans and wagons. My understanding on the Spec B revisions is that the struts stayed the same, but rev. A had stiffer springs and larger swaybars than the later revisions. A had stiffer springs and larger swaybars than the later revisions. There were definitely revisions to the Spec B struts, possibly twice. With Subaru's color coding of its springs, it's harder to tell if and when Subaru revised the springs, but I wouldn't doubt that they did. You're right about there being different revisions to the rear sway bar. Those who ordered through AVO got a 20 mm (hollow, I believe). I got mine from another source and it was a hollow 19 mm. I have no idea which came first or second, since AVO is still selling the 20.

What are you basing that information on? I'm not saying you're wrong, but sources I consider reliable say otherwise. What I heard was that the revisions were in the springs and swaybars, not the struts.

See Opie's first post where he lists the different part nos. for Rev. A and Rev. B. Additionally, I'm aware of Spec B struts with part nos. 20310AG420 front one side, and 20365AG270 rear. SC GT
Supposedly, Revision B was in response to complaints that the original Spec B suspension was too harsh. However, nearly all of the members of this board that have Spec B struts have the originals (Revision A is a misnomer since they didn't revise anything, they were just first), and most don't seem to mind the ride. Consistent with what rfd425 mentioned, a lot of the harshness could have been attributed to the original springs.
