Honda Odyssey

Recommended Posts

Anyone knows if teh Odyssey is available with 4WD/AWD? Friend is deciding between it and teh Toyota Sienna, and I am helping her research these two.

My findings so far are: Sienna looks better, can be had with AWD and HID, more roomy, supports MP3, but options can cost a leg and an arm! While the Odyssey comes with everything equipped, more powerful yet with slightly better MPG, seems to be cheaper, etc. I personally prefer the Sienna.

Please post if you have the answer or any comments about these two vans (they will NOT consider any other brand).

Thanks! :)

Go with the Odyssey wife had a 03...... best minivan out there. I know it sounds silly but it is much more of a "drivers" van.

The 06 Touring models have brisk acceleration actually....If I remember correctly 60 is reached in under 8 sec;)

The Sienna is a looker but powertrain wise it is a weakling!

Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!

Actually, the Sienna is more than adequate, especially for a minivan. In real world driving it also gets better mileage than the Odyssey, even with the cylinder deactivation. The Odyssey handles a little better and is a little "sportier" (major stretch of the word, though), but also noisier. The touring model has those Michelin Pax run flats- 17.5 inch wheels I believe and a pain to deal with if you flat. The Sienna, especially a loaded one, is almost Lexus like- very comfortable and quiet- but kinda numb.

Can't go wrong with either. If you want AWD, you don't have a choice, only the Sienna.

I couldn't decide between the 2, and then bought a Pilot. :icon_bigg

It's a great minivan alternative.

All of my uncles have minivans. They all drive Siennas and Odysseys. They are the previous generations though. The Sienna holds up alot better. My dad test drove the Sienna and Odyssey when shopping for a Sequioa...He liked the Sienna better. I believe it is a superb family hauler. If value is a key point, I believe the CE and LE Siennas are great values. Once you go higher up, you're looking at 35-40k. The topline Odyssey touring is probably the best "value" if you want the highest end of either. But bottom line, if you want AWD, your only choice is Sienna.

Oh yeah, my dad had a Previa. Supercharged baybay! It was actually still pretty pathetic...

I think in Japan Odyssey is 4WD, at lease older models were.

I hate Estima, mostly cuz younger Japanese crowd buys them to pick up chicks and nail them in the car, nuttin wrong with that, but they drive like mad. they think they are in sports car with all the mods and neons stuff, its a friggin minivan!! Move bitch get outta way!!
