Rocker panel trim install

I did this install a couple weeks ago. It's very simple, took me about 15 minutes to do the first side (being extra careful) and around 5 on the second side. It's just a matter of removing a half-dozen popits from the bottom of the rocker panel, prying the old one off, putting the new one on, and replacing the popits.

Ah... very good info. I'm interested myself, but from reading the service manual, it almost seems like they wanted you to glue the panel (as well as use the popits)...

Note the mention of double-sided tape on the first page...

Well my trim was installed a month ago without either glue or double-sided tape, and it seems to be ok so far. No instructions were included with the trim pieces.

Super easy.

Pop the two phillips head pop-its from the front of rocker panel on the car, pop the six pop-its under the rocker panel, and carefully pry it off. If you do it right, the double sided tape will come off with the rocker.

You may break the two phillips head pop-its; doesn't matter because you should have been given new ones with the new rockers.

Peel the backing tape from the new rocker panel (it's been painted over so you might not realize it's there, but one end has excess backing tape so it's easy to spot.

Position the rocker and make sure the plastic anchors are aligned with the holes and starting from the front, bang in each anchor in succession with the bottom of your fist.

Install the rest of the pop-its and you're done.
