AMT4SWA
Does anyone have the new Legacy interior dimensions numbers (how about you Legacy owners across the Pacific...from your brochure)? I am trying to see how this car compares to lets say a S60 or an IS300. I really want to see the rear seat room stats and front legroom figures. THANX! BTW, I will type in all the IS300 interior room stats from my Lexus brochure later in the day for this comparison (in 4 minutes the market is going to open for Futures trading...I will have to wait until later...sorry). PPower
There is no information. I have kept a keen eye out for it, but they have not been published yet. I really don't think that it is going to be much different than the current Legacy. Maybe a 0.5" here and there at most. Compare the wheelbase lengths to see how much extra legroom there might be and width to see how much shoulder may have increased.
Dr. Zevil
Well, there should be interior specs listed on a japanese or australian website.. should be the same here in the US. I will look around too.
SUBE555
I concur Zevil. Those dimensions should be the same. The only reason the bumpers were different were for safety reasons. That was as far as I could tell the only exterior change was the USDM bumpers. Interior should be the same. Someone want to transfer numbers to compare? Dr. Zevil
I did find this.. don't think it helps much though. http://subaru.com.au/explore/liberty/specifications.asp?item=23233
AMT4SWA
OK, I'm back (the Futures trading was very good today...quit early after a great day) and I was thinking that someone from Australia should have a full brochure with the full interior specs. It would be real cool if someone would scan and download the brochure information for us all here.
gtmy04
I will scan and post the Australian brochure on Monday (don't have it with me at work today). I also have a MY00 Outback and although exterior dimensions are pretty much the same there definitely seems to be more room inside the MY04 GT i.e more shoulder room and greater seat travel to give more front legroom. SUBE555
I can't find the specs anywhere.. and I can't read japanese..
I don't either but babelfish does. ;) I'll see what I can dig up. The only problem with the numers, I've heard different countries measure from different points frequently. So that might not be too big a help. PPower
There have been some odd interior dimensions published but they were completely worthless. It was something like length from the front of the windshield to the back of the back window and vertical from the floor to the ceiling. Both are completely worthless. Their reluctance to publish useable specs has made me expecting the worst. I've sat in the new Legacy, but I can't remember how it compared to the "old" one. AMT4SWA
Good...145...between the back and front seats (this is where Audi messed up the A4 interior, the back seat is so close to the forward seats). This is the area that is most critical for me...looks good at this point. :)
GBY
I put a ruler to my screen and determined that the Leagcy was bigger than the A4.

SUBE555
Those were aussie dimensions, but figure at least the interiors must be close. Heh, the Leg even has a rear footwell. ;) With those rear headroom dims, I might want to spring for a Wagon. Sitting on STi springs will probably bring it to std GT Sedan's CD. :D

PPower
NICE! I've never seen that. That's great for making a comparison to those other cars, especially the A4.
