feesh
Don't you love it when people don't take the time to tie down their payloads and you come upon a 6 foot long 4"x4"??
Rely18
ouch man. sorry to see. yeah the roads would be wonderful if it wasn't for those careless ones. how fast were you going? did it hit your rear wheel too?
feesh
Going around 75, subie swerved quite nicely but I caught it with my right front only. I looked at the suspension pieces and they seem ok, i guess i'll find out once I get the wheel/tire replaced. That wheel doesn't look repairable does it? starlabs
Yikes sorry! At least it didn't go into your windshield!! I'm always paranoid about who's in front of me. If it's a pickup... I get in another lane. Preferably passing it once I've changed lanes. -=- Livin life at 140 BPM -=-

elpete77
My wife hit a couch on the freeway at 80. Took off the front bumber, as the couch split, it spun down the right side and left a nice long dent. The truck that dropped it stopped, looked at the damage, and fled. She got the license plate # but apparantly since it was a commercial plate, the owner has no responsibility, because any employee could have been driving it. sleepin gt
happened to me too, about 9 years ago on a trip to canada. Doing about 85 in the left lane and see everyone swerving...6' 4x4... the funny thing is it was a 99A A4 with the SAME wheels!! well...bbs rc's, but look identical! Had to drive all the way back to washington dc on 2 spare tires. took out both right weels @ 750 a piece. At least we didnt flip like the car behind us... feesh
Thanks for the kind words everyone.....i'm settling down a little now. I didn't get to see the vehicle that dropped it, so no license plate. I was changing lanes when I saw it....I guess there was a reason why that lane was empty. If this is repairable, what would it cost to fix? I just ordered a new one as I didn't think it could be repaired (cracked spoke and the obvious dent). The tire is replaced under warranty though
Rely18
i don't think you would want to even try to fix a wheel with a crack in it like that.
