spec.B-Jay
I serached, but didn't find anything on this topic... My stereo has recently developed this problem where it will arbitrarily turn up or turn down the radio volume with no drive input. It does it on its own. At first, I thought perhaps my keys chain was dangling against my knee and getting pressed in to the knob, but that is definitely not the case. The volume really is chanign on its own... kind of a weird problem... anyone else experience this?
PGT
yes, it's been documented. Check out the 'warranty issues' forum.
jsalicru
I've only had it do that once on me. A couple of months ago. Luckily, the volume went down instead of up. ralphyralph5
it happens to me every once in a while. I spoke to the service guys at feders in middletown and they said that they've never heard of such a thing. They asked me if i could reproduce it..wtf. I told them that it happens on its own...at this point, it's actually pretty amusing

spec.B-Jay
How many steps does it change in volume? My guess is that you have left it in between two settings and it settled to another one. I thought of that as well... but it has changed by as much as two or three notches. It was really active yesterday on my way to work. The oddest part, was when it turned down from "8" to "7" and then about 2 seconds later, changed back up to "8". So it isn't a matter of settling... PeterJMC
I thought you all were just smoking crack until I eperienced it myself. I was powering through a turn with my volume set at 10, and all of a sudden it got low. I looked at the radio and it displayed "Volume 5". WTF causes this?!? PGT
there must have been an SRT-4 near. The gravitational pull you experienced is a side-effect of the thermonuclear reaction that gives the car such speed.

Ohh, I thought it was caused by the matter and anti-matter reaction to the rip in the space time continuum which was created when I got into boost.
