RCGServices
So, had my remote starter and alarm installed , i went with the Viper 2Way Responder Unit, retails for 599.99, think its model # 791. got it new off ebay for like 210 shipped. anyways, the legacys have a "neutral position wire" that comes off the transmission sensor and goes to the ECU. if you run that wire to a relay, then to the brain of the remote starter, it cant start if in gear. really a great feature. if anyone is interested, let me know and ill try and post step by steps after work. thanks! Guest *Jedimaster*
I'm interested too- I had no idea that the car could sense whether the stick was in neutral
ilh
I'm interested too- I had no idea that the car could sense whether the stick was in neutral In trying to fix my stalling issue, SOA had the dealer replace my neutral safety switch. Apparently it is used for engine management, in addition to killing the cruise control. (In case you were wondering, there exactly 8 spares in the entire USA. Make that 7 now.) rao
It definately has a neutral sense - the ECU knows all I just want to see how he did his install. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT

PeterJMC
Are alarm systems easy installs? I want to get one but don't want to pay someone to install it. I'd rather do it myself.
bmorrisj
if you like to keep on top of wire management (lots of wires) and know which wire does what... you're golden...

agctr
Hmm always wanted to know if the Liberty/Legacy has a Neutral Sensor but thought I would find out soon enough myself. Nice feature and Im sure will work well with the remote. All we need now is keyless go like the MB's. Ada///M.
