wrasse
Besides the obvious (no streaks, bubbling, peeling) what do you consider to be signs of a good tint job? I have some 1. Tint film going all the way to the edges on frameless windows like our legacies. 2. Tinter removing inside factory stickers prior to applying tint film. highlander
+1 My shop removed all of the stickers save one. I think he thought I wanted to keep it but I don't really mind much. It's the AWD sticker under/behind the third brake light. I can't see it from inside and it is the last subtle reminder of the nature of the car. tytek
it is nice to have oem AWD stickers present in case you get towed away. it gives you grounds to sue for damages if they don't flat bed it and break the diff... therefore i left all my AWD stickers under the tint. StringFellow
Most tint shops don't want to tint over a sticker. Usually the sticker will fade over time and can't be removed with out that section of tint being replaced. Just an FYI, just because you don't have an AWD sticker doesn't mean you lose any protection when your car is towed. It is the tow trucking companies responsibility to know which cars require special towing arrangements. I am sure that all towing companies know that Subaru's have to to be flat bed towed. Don't worry about it... -S
cbroo
roll down you windows a little and notice how straight cut the lines are to you window, also your rear little windows if there isnt any space of the tint to the edging of the interior then they did good, I've seen buddys WRXs with some horrible tint jobs the guys cut the windows about an inch off so the tint looked like it was done by one of those on the side of the road mexican tint shops
pflo
so that's where my AWD stickers went...never thought they would be removed before tinting

highwaydrifter
no line on the edge of the window... the installer cut the tint larger then the window then filed it down so it was COMPLETELY SEAMLESS, no lines ANYWHERE. that was a tint job.. bobo69
i actually prefer the tint to have a 1/16"-1/8" gap from the edge of the side windows so that they dont catch when the windows are rolled up and a one piece rear window is a good sign
john_knoxville
1. Tint film going all the way to the edges on frameless windows like our legacies. actually i don't think this is good b/c over time the edge may start to peel back due to friction caused by contact with the weather stripping i actually prefer the tint to have a 1/16"-1/8" gap from the edge of the side windows so that they dont catch when the windows are rolled up what he said
HFSDevil
Lifetime warranty. I got one for my tint, as long as I own the car still. Any problem whether it be by me or by nature, etc. they will take the whole piece off and replace it. 2002 Subaru Legacy L (Retired) 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT
