Break Beat Zen
For the past week or so i noticed a rattle that happens specifically between 4-4.5 RPMs coming from the engine area. If i rev it up past 4.5 rpms then take my foot of the pedal it rattles as it falls past that point. After 4.5 it seems to go away and the sound is only detectable whiel inside the vehicle. The sound is most prominet while at stop and the car is in neutral. However I still hear it slightly while driving. I just got it back from the dealer and they told me they ddin't hear it while under load:icon_mad: and called subaru tech help to see what they thought. They said the sound is most likely a flutter from a PCV valve and that" There is nothing mechanically wrong with the engine" I'm goning to call the guy who handled my car tommorow and tell him that the sound is present whiel driving but Im curious if anyone else has have the same vibration at the same rpm range and what the problem was? MangoGT
Quality Subaru customer support for you...just deny that there is anything wrong, but make sure the customer isn't present for the testing of the car.
