Suspension?, steering? problem

I have a strange problem. Have a GT Limited with p zero nero tires. In the mornings (especially after a cold night) the car has a very strange feel when pulling out of the garage. I feel a "clunking" sensation through the steering wheel. I feel it when I go from the garage to the driveway, and then drop again onto the street. These are minor drops but I feel it through the steering wheel as if it's a problem with the front suspension or steering. It's like something isn't connected right. As soon as I start driving up the street it's fine and that's the only time of day it happens. It was really bad the day I pulled out of the garage after the car sat there for a week in the cold.

Any ideas? Obviously the dealer never heard of this before, just like they didn't hear of the clutch stink.

Yep flat spotting. Notorious on high performance tires with soft side walls. Other HP tires that exhibit the same issue are... ContiExtreme Contacts, Dunlop 5000 and Dunlop 9000. Great tires with fantastic noise levels and grip but the side walls are soft and if the car sits all week they flat spot. No biggy.

Ditto on the flat spotting issue. Put a set of PZero Neros on my LGT and notice the 'clunk clunk clunk' of flatspotting when starting out on a cold morning. Seems to occur for me below about 40F, but only lasts for maybe a tenth of a mile at most. Otherwise, I like the P Zeros, they ride better and are quieter than the RE 92's.

Thanks for the replies. I thought it might be flat spotting (that's why I mentioned the tires) but I wasn't sure that it would cause the problem I'm experiencing. It sounds like it is.

By the way, as much as I like the p zero nero's, I put them on my son's RSX S too. But for winter I switched his car to Blizzak LM 25's. They are unbelievably good in the snow. His car with the LM 25's are probably better in the snow than my car with the p zero nero's.
