engine swap I want tips for tuning a Legacy which I'm going to buy soon

Hello guys, 

I'm new here, so I'm going to buy Legacy 3rd gen wagon (BH) which is going to be a project car. I found that car at my friends graveyard, it is in good condition (without any serious rust), unfortunately without engine. Interior (its leather one) is pretty fine despite the car is staying outside for years. I chose that car because of features that other Legacies I found in Serbia don't have. The model is GX Limited.

And another problem is some kind of ban of importing cars, like if it's not EURO 3 standard, it has to be old at least 30 years so you're able to import it etc. So I unfortunately hardly can or can't import any GT, GTB or RSK model in Serbia, but I can buy some engine from those trims. In Europe, Legacy BE and BH were sold with 2.0 and 2.5 N/A engines.

I would like some tips for modding the car, I'm considering to buy some turbo engine. I'm thinking of the STI (EJ207) or the twinturbo (EJ208 or EJ206) engine options. So you can write about any turbo engine options, like pros and cons, what it's possible or not and so on.

Any help, suggestion and tips are welcome about what should I know, what to be ready for etc. Sorry for my bad English since it ain't my first language
