Hey guys,

I own a 2010 Legacy GT 2.5 Turbo made in Japan (in Colombia where I live most of Subarus come from Japan).

I need to replace the water pump and according to the internet the replacement part is the 21111AA370. However, it is easier for me to get parts in USA and import them to Colombia, but that specific part is not sold in USA a it seems to be only for Japan-made engines. In USA the water pump for that same Legacy is the 21111AA380.

Then my question is: will this USA water pump (A380) fit properly to my Japan-made Legacy (A370)?

If you compare the pictures of the two part numbers they do seem to be really close. the AA380 has an extension pipe that comes out of the thermostat housing for the OE oil cooler. you'll also want to compare the two hoses that come off the curved extended pipe, it appears to be longer on the AA370, so the hose you have may not reach the AA380's pipe.

My car calls for the same waterpump and I couldnt find any in the USA too.

Didnt want to chance ordering something that wouldnt fit so ended up getting it at the local dealer.

Maybe try partsouq?  They seem to have decent prices from what I've seen looking at parts for a different car of mine.

Thanks a lot for your revision, I had not detailed the pictures of the pumps and as you suggest there are some differences, so it´s pretty risky to get the USA spec pump as it might not fit. Then I'll try to get the AA370. Thank you silverton for your help.

Yeah it´s risky to get the AA380 pump as it may not fit. Here local Subaru dealers have high prices and long delivery times for older models parts as they have to import them, so I'll first try any other option.

As I've seen Partsouq usually have better prices than USA dealers. I´m getting there the timing belt and pulleys that I also need to replace, but the AA370 water pump has been out of stock since I started searching some weeks ago. Maybe I'll try eBay or wait for Partsouq stock.

Thank you Scubaboo.
