I pulled the trigger on the Accessport...I commissioned a tune from Dmann, and now I'm getting ready to route the hardware.

I see that the WRXs have a really nice driver side vent (Mach V) mount that's perched with a snaked cord run that pops out the vent for a clean look.  Does anyone know of a fabricator that makes a vent application for the 21 XT?

Sorry, I can't help you. But I'm thinking about an Accessport for my Legacy too. Did you install it already? Is it worth it?

Installed and mounted. I ended up using a Ford Focus ST pillar mount that I found on amazon ($36) and modified. It's an OK setup for mounting but you'll need to tinker with it to make it secure on your legacy.

Did you add any mods yet, Vitali? If not definitely start with the AP. Just know that any non-Cobb mods will not jive with their ots maps. You'll need to find an etuner/protuner. Dmann was easy to work with. If you like more info from your tuner to better understand what it all means...a local dyno protuner might be worthwhile for a few ducats more.

Is it worth it? Stay tuned. I will say that Sheila is much more torquey with higher boost.

I just got my final map so I'm just getting a sense of the new output.

Thanks, appreciate your feedback!

So far I am on stock. The only mods are removed intake coal filter, AEM dry flow air filter, and axle back exhaust. I am thinking about buying AP as it unlocks a lot of options in mods later on.

This will most likely be a Christmas gift for myself, lol

A couple other points to mention. With the AP, if your mods aren't Cobb's and you need to go the route of a protune, expect to that you may need to make the jump to premium fuel. The AP comes with Cobb's OTS maps that you can run on 87-93. Dmann's maps run on 91 and 93. It was a significant fuel price hike ($15-20 a tank) that I wasn't expecting when I got into this whole process. I thought I could run 87 octane on Cobb's stage 1 with my mods but didn't confirm that before I purchased the AP. Wuh wah.

It sounds like you're good to go with just the AEM panel filter though. (As an aside, I had a K&N (oiled) panel filter installed but it was bogging my engine down for some reason. I switched to a Cobb dry flow and noticed an immediate improvement.)

I'd also point out that one of the benefits of the AP is the gauge readout that gives you a quick reference to what's going on with your engine when you're driving. It also offers a performance tab where you track your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. I'm still learning what else it can do.

I'll post a pic of the pillar mount I rigged up once I finish one more tweak.

You may have over oiled the filter. I ran a oiled panel filter in my 05 for its life, the car has over 310,000 miles when I last heard from it new owner. I only lightly oiled the filter and did a MAF cleaning each Fall before cold weather. Just spray the MAF sensor with a quick shot of MAF Cleaner.  I never noticed any performance loss.

That's odd.

I'll also say, you really don't need to leave the AP plugged in. I never did that with mine. Just left it in the box, only used it when needed. The car will run fine without it. I got my AP v1 Dec 2004, at 8000 miles, flashed the map and was impressed. At 310,000 miles, the current owner say's, the car is running fine. I did have AP v2 and AP v3. All three had custom tunes in them.

Nice. Yep, I leave mine in most of the time so I can keep an eye on the diagnostics via the gauges. Our weather just shifted to winter temps so I'm gathering my bearings with intake manifold temps, oil temp rise timeframes, etc., with the colder temps.

I've noticed my DAM bounces with the cold weather while it was rock steady in warm.

A helpful bit of advice for LXT AP users.... if you (accidentally) leave the AP on overnight, be ready to jump your car in the morning. Sharing for a frieTemps.

Max... did you protune at a dyno shop, or did you etune?
