BoozeRS05
Hey all, SPT mufflers and axle back y-pipe for sale. I took about 40 min to scrub these and I’d bet the rest of the road grime would come off, and along with a metal polish these would look like new again. Some scrapes and bruises here and there, but appear in great condition otherwise. I’m under the impression that the y-pipe would mate up to a stock exhaust with the provided clamp, but not confirmed. Never installed myself. Bought this many years ago dreaming of one day having a JDM rear bumper, but I’m giving up on that dream. $350 picked up in the Pgh area, or I’d consider shipping also. Code
I have an spt exhaust and love it. I don’t need these, but if they don’t actually line up with a stock system I may take them since I’m guessing it’s near impossible to source only a mid-pipe for this system. Can’t say I’ve remember anyone ever running this as an axle-back. Infosecdad
That's interesting, I hadn't seen the end of a y-pipe like that. Yeah, you can't run the SPT as an axleback because the angles are quite different from the stock routing. I bet that you would trim off the existing Y and slide that on to convert a mid-pipe to the right angles to use the SPT mufflers. And those angles on the Y pipe look very similar to the HKS turbo Y angles (that are also different from stock), makes me wonder if they are actually the same. BoozeRS05
That’s my impression to make it fit - cut the stock midpipe and use the provided y-pipe as a slip joint. I haven’t had a stock exhaust in my hands for over a decade, so none of it is confirmed, but I was told it came off an LGT that way. I can check it against the SPT exhaust I have on my wagon now though and I’ll report back soon. It’s definitely one of the best setups for our cars. Quality, look, sound are all top notch. BoozeRS05
It all bolts together nicely, although I’m not sure how straight it is. A decent shop should be able to work it out pretty easily I’d imagine. BoozeRS05
No sir. Sold out of state and shipping was expensive, but I’m happy to see some parts going out the door.
