Emjayex
Ok, wasnt sure exactly where to put this. But basically I had gotten an alignment after lowering my 98 Outback. And the steering wheel was straight and I trust the guy who did the alignment. But after hitting a somewhat small bump while taking a turn (I was going kind of quick) my steering wheel went off center. Just maybe an inch over to the left. The car still tracks perfectly straight, doesn't pull to the left or right, the steering wheel is just a tad off. I checked the tie rods to make sure the nuts werent loose and theyre still nice and tight. Tie rods are brand new so no play. Balljoins are also basically brand new so also no play. Any ides on what it might be? I was thinking it could possibly be a non properly torqued steering wheel bolt. So it slipped a tad whenever I took that turn hard. Side note: i bought the car with the steering wheel also tilted to the left. But at that time it definitely needed an alignment then.
doublechaz
I would get that alignment checked again. A big change over a bump is not a good sign. Could be that something just came loose. Even an excellent tech can have a bad day.
