Stripping paint off headlight housing.

Is there a good way to strip paint off the plastic housing? I goofed up and added way too much paint when blacking out the insides. Sanding is taking way too long than i would like. I was thinking brake fluid might do the trick. I don't want to melt the plastic.

I used acetone to remove paint from plastic models.  Get the paint off with it and wash thoroughly, should be okay.  Though test in an inconspicuous area first. 

Mineral spirits might work well too.
