All_talk
Interested in the Bilsteins, any info on specs? Spring rates? Damping rates? Ride compared to stock?
JMJ5150
The description from the Japan Seller is below. I have not installed these on my Legacy and don't know the differences first hand. However, I've had stock struts and they were bouncy as to be expected from an OEM setup. Plus you can adjust ride height to your needs and been upgraded with Eibach springs.. Description Product name Bilstein screw type harmonic drive Used car model Compatible BP5 BL5 NA / Turbo Early / Late Common explanation Usage period 2 years, about 25,000 km no bleeding. All four will return on their own. There is no sticking to the sheet. There is no instruction manual or wrench. Spring rate Front 5 kg Rear 7 kg Since it is a used item, there are scratches and dirt. All_talk
Thank you for the info, I think those are going to be a little to stiff for me. Obviously the springs could be changed, but assuming those are the B14 coilovers, the damping is going to be stiffer than I'm looking for.

Pleides
I'm a bit interested in the KWs as my Konis have both had failures on the fronts after just over two years, however I think the price you're asking is kind of steep considering it's gonna be about 600 bucks to rebuild all four, plus the rust on the springs which are not usually replaced during a rebuild, and you're pushing up against the price of a new set of RCE T1s. Is the rust just surface-level? How old are the top hats?
elomo64
Weird question but, could you tell me how big the AVO TMIC box is? HxWxL?
JMJ5150
I have not taken the tmic out of the box yet and the link below is the only site I found with measurements. https://avoturbo.com/top-mount-intercooler-kit-ceramic-coated-in-black-liberty-gt-spec-b-outback-xt-ej20/
elomo64
Thanks! I meant the box measurements and not the intercooler itself, as I'm trying to see if a buddy can bring it over from the US.

Crazycook99
Buyer Beware when purchasing from this member. Yes I'm salty b/c this guy sold me coilovers, who never installed them, yet answered every question there could be to determine if they were defective or not. Welp, turns out all top hats need to replaced, driver side front and passenger rear need to be rebuilt and front passenger side spanner bolts are seized. Buyer remorse, yeah b/c he sold me a defective product and refuses to refund. Pound sand JMJ5150!
JMJ5150
That was uncalled for. I have sold to many legacy.gt members for more than 5 years on here and had no issues. I even recommended the opportunity for the buyer to have the issue resolved by PayPal. I won the case.. I have zero ill will towards crazycook99 but if you want a return policy buy your parts new from a store.. goodluck! Crazycook99
And I've been on numerous car forums, where a member that has not installed a part b/c something came along that was better and what they wanted, gladly took the part back b/c of defects that were unknown to the seller. It's called good business and being a good human being. You were in the unknown as was I, which seems like you were in business of offloading a part b/c you have no use for it anymore. This is not an attack on you or what you've sold in the past. It's a general guideline for anyone who is new to the subaru community and to understand you might be selling something that has never been installed or tested for defects. You won the case b/c paypal didn't refused to accept my outline of the damaged parts.
Pleides
I would say, for the seller's sake, that I did PM them about what KW's cost to rebuild and ultimately determined that they basically need to be free to be worth rebuilding. I would include that if I were the OP. Sorry to hear about your experiences, Crazycook. Hopefully everything works out alright.
BoozeRS05
I know I wouldn’t be happy if I was sold parts that were - “intended to be installed” - and I couldn’t install them bc they didn’t work. Depending on the used sale price, I’d personally offer a refund to the buyer. Also considering the price for heavily used KW coilovers, I’d assume the buyer probably overpaid. Crazycook99
If he overpaid, I most certainly did as well. Thanks for the feedback BoozeRS05 and Pleides.
pigboat_2
Rapport is always worth more, IMO. I've got 13+ years of history on Subaru forums that I wouldn't squander over a sale like this. I would make this right and stop defending the broken leg you're standing on, even if the fine print says otherwise. Edit: It's stuff like this that I look for when I'm considering purchasing on a forum, that would make me lose interest as a buyer. I have plenty of rapport in my life.. pigboat_2 .. since you like sticking your nose up other peoples butts, I think you should get more information on the situation before posting your useless opinion in forums.. The buyer had all the opportunities to SHOW proof what he received was a defect. He stated that he went to a "mechanic" but could not or did not produce an invoice or comment from the establishment to prove anything to PayPal. If I lost the claim I would have gave a refund.. It's that simple... I don't go giving refunds just because someone yells out "DEFECTIVE!".. I'm not that gullible but apparently YOU ARE..
