Suspension Refresh

Recommended Posts

My front and rear are clunky going over bump. 103k miles so I think it's time to refresh the suspension.

Looking at the OEM struts I am going with these.

KYB SR4591 - Front Right

KYB SR4592 - Front Left

KYB SR4593 - Rear x 2

I'll get new sway and control arm bushing as well.

For the control arm I was looking at this set. Any issues or better recommendations?

Anything else I should do while I am under there?

Thanks!

Edit: This might be a better option than control arm bushings as I am not sure I can get that bushing out. Moog control arms and ball joints for about $100 each.

Edit edit: Doesn't seem like the rear struts complete are on backorder everywhere. That puts a damper on this project.

How about sway bar end links, they are known to cause the clunky sound going over things like cracks in the driveway.

There are a few threads in maybe a sticky in the suspension forum. I'm still running the Koni Yellows from years ago, with Epic springs.

I had my rear suspension arms, etc replaced last year. Labor was $1700 to cut out the old rusty bolts. I brought them all the parts and new OEM bolts. nuts, washers.

Thanks. I was doing searches and couldn't quite narrow down the issues. Good idea to start with end links, I was leaning that direction and should have mentioned.

I did get Moog end links for the front about 10k-15k miles ago. Never did the rear. I'll pick up some kartboys or same moogs. If that fixes, great, if not on to the bigger project.

Edit: Ordered rear end links and sway bushings.
