Del_Liger
2002 Legacy GT Is there any way I can turn the Ignition switch light off? It stays on for some reason and I think its killing the battery. It there an on/off switch somewhere?
doublechaz
It could be killing the battery. Are there any other lights staying on like the door step lights, door anti collision lights, overhead lights, etc? Mine doesn't have the ignition light, but I thought it was triggered on by the door ajar and engine not running condition. I had a car that developed various door ajar related electrical conditions when I lived in the rust belt. Turned out the bottom of the door sill had rusted through and a lot of salty junk had gotten up in there and wrecked the door ajar switch. Short term, if you just want it to stop and will track and fix later, I would use a longish #2 phillip's and take that bottom trim off the column and unplug the connector for that light. There should be four screws holding that trim inside fairly deep holes on the bottom of the column.

No. That's the only light that stays on

doublechaz
No idea what bulb it takes. I was suggesting to not have that light until the root cause is fixed. If you took it apart and got the bulb out and put the trim back you could take the bulb to the parts store to get one like it, but switching the bulb isn't going to cure the problem.
