SuzyLegacy02
Hi. Im the second owner and have had this car for about 4 years. It has 99500 miles I have gone so far as to rebuild a ttansmission for a different car. So i need to know if draining and changing my ATF without changing the filter is ok or bad. SuzyLegacy02
Thank you. I have looked for precision documetation to determine where the filter(s) are and cannot get a definitive answer for my exact car. I think i will just drain and add new fluidcwith some lucas. Thanks again
SuzyLegacy02
Also im working in the street. So a thorough and slow process would be a problem for my neighbors
silverton
the spin on filter is easy like an engine oil filter. there is also an internal filter, but generally don't need to be replaced ever, unless you get rocks in there.
AWDFTW
OEM spin on external filter is like $20 bucks. That said, on my old 2003 it was rust seized on and more hassle than it was worth to deal with removing. Drain and fill is easy. Skip the Lucas. Not needed. Fresh Dex III will make that old 4 speed auto happy.
