Are headlights really covered under warranty?

If you do buy any other bulbs, Stay away from Silverstars like they are the Plague. They go out freakishly fast. Personally I'd drop the 285 and get the HID kit. Simple install and MUCH improved lighting.

I've had Silverstars in both my SC2 and my LGT. The SC2's haven't been replaced in in 25k, but the LGT's were replaced, under warranty, in less then 7K. At this point I'll just keep getting them replaced under warranty until that runs out, then I'll think about other options.

The problem, which is commented on everytime something like this comes up, is the DRLs. Personally I prefer the DRLs in general, however, since they use the lows at about 70% intensity ALL the time, you will burn out the bulb. Think about the math - how many hours are the bulbs rated? In my old car, they used the highs at low intensity which was fine, since I never used the highs anyway. I'll wait to see when/if they burn out in mine, and if they keep going, I'll probably remove the DRLs....
