Andrewr05
Does the Harmon Kardon rear shelf subwoofer do ANYTHING? Is the very lethargic bass that I'm hearing from my vehicle's sound system actually coming from that thing? My 2005 Honda CRV has better audio than this thing. Is it possible its blown or even disconnected somehow? And I guess I should reiterate.... the sound from the system is "OKAY" , but for a system that claims to have a separate dedicated woofer it is exceptionally mediocre. 2011 Subaru Legacy Sedan for those wondering. dgoodhue
The HK is better than lower level stereo system but it is mediocre. You should listen to the prior generation HK system, it is even more underwhelming.

Like I said it, it isn't bad by any means, but for there being a speaker in this setup entirely dedicated to producing bass frequencies (I realize it's not a true subwoofer it's not going to thump) it is ridiculously lackluster. I guess I'm glad I got the better variant if the previous years were worse than this.
