squid372
Hi All, Does anyone know if this is possible on an 06 legacy gt spec B. I would like to get the l/100km to read more accurately with the modifications done. Currently it shows a seriously overstated (8 - 9l/100km) as well as a range of 750km a tank. Actuals is more like 400km per tank supporting mods. GTX35 Turbo, Fully Forged Motor,
boxkita
once you modify your car, that mileage thing is useless. I just watch the gas gauge. If I really care, I log the gallons added with current odometer reading. After a couple of fillups, your miles per tank isn't going to change much. I fill up at 50%. Walking with a gas can sucks Build my car Boxkita Track days
squid372
I agree on this. though I know the range of the vehicle. Sadly other see that it can still do 700km and run out. So would like to avoid that if possible.
B-BGTLimited
How is that gauge that useless after modding? Is it not based on the flow rate of the injectors and average ms pulse while driving? As long as you tune appropriately I can't see why it wouldn't stay accurate. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
Infosecdad
You can adjust it in the ROM. I’ve updated mine and reflashed it with ECUFlash. I can try to find the field again for you if you want.
Code
My tuner adjusted mine. Gotta love seeing ~200mi/tank on e85. "Striving to better, oft we mar what's well." - Bill Shakespeare - car modder

Infosecdad
It's in the experimental tables in ECU Flash. "Fuel Efficiency Correction" You can either find your stock injector scaling and your new injector scaling, calculate the difference and apply it to the current value; or (what I do) is calculate my current mileage by hand and compare to the readout, then scale the difference to align. B-BGTLimited
Is this modification only necessary when you change your injectors? After reading the romraider post it appears so. I'll be good until I go top feed I guess. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk Edited March 24, 2021 by B-BGTLimited

Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk Yes, it would be if you changes the injectors to where you flowed at a different rate than the stock calculation had accounted for. boxkita
i went from oem to 750. the difference isn't much. Build my car Boxkita Track days
Infosecdad
i went from oem to 750. the difference isn't much. I have DW 740s for mine, so similar. That's basically 35% increase in flow. I saw that change in my MPG calculations I adjusted to get closer, but I also stopped caring so much as I'm not built for MPG; I'm built for enjoying my drive every time I go out. boxkita
I took a picture after a track day of 6mpg. I stopped caring about fixing it at that point Build my car Boxkita Track days
squid372
i went to 1000cc injectors so that calculator is so badly off. Will have a look when i am at the tuner on Sunday and see what we can doo.
socalsleeper
really? my tuner claimed it wasn't possible. I'm glad this was finally sorted out. I remember hearing a longgg time ago this was not possible as well.
