Off the shelf tunes?

Recommended Posts

My PC is toast and all my tuning files were on it. I know I'm not too bright for not backing up but I'm in a pickle and I desperately need a stage 1 tune or even a stock tune.

I'm searching but not having much luck finding a vendor that offers off the shelf tunes w/o a handheld device, I just need the hex file to flash myself.

Help! My car's been garaged for way too long and I'm trying to resurrect the dead. This is a huge roadblock and I need to sell the car asap. I'm not going to get much for it as is but if I replace the clutch and throw stock parts back on it'll go for much more.

TIA!

Yes, I've got the tactrix cable and I'm no techie but I do know how to loads maps from ecuflash.

I had a buddy work on the laptop for hours and he even had an IT guy at his work look at it but not sure how in depth. He thinks it's corrupt beyond repair but he's no pro. Do you think if I take it in somewhere they could recover data?

There are definitely some good data recovery places out there. Looks like there's one called Konicom nearish to you. This is assuming you have a defunct hard disk drive and not a solid state drive.

If you have the tools to do the whole tune flashing thing, then you can learn how to remove data from the drive using another PC with Windows installed. Do you have a desktop? If it's not welcome in this thread by mods, feel free to PM me. Hard drives typically show a lot of symptoms before failure. I'd think you've got a chance unless the drive had been dropped or something like that.
